I had some financial difficulties when ordered the US-based VPS, so used their Live Chat service and talked with Mark (sales representative). He spent around an hour talking to me to rectify the problem, proposed a nice solution, and even gave me a decent discount. I first came across Ultima Hosts when they had advertised on the ASP.NET services offering users a free trial - I thought id give them a go, and I have been amazed with their service, their uptime and general speed of the service (which is the main reason I had moved from my old webhost) Having spent the last 3 years working professionally with ... MoreI first came across Ultima Hosts when they had advertised on the ASP.NET services offering users a free trial - I thought id give them a go, and I have been amazed with their service, their uptime and general speed of the service (which is the main reason I had moved from my old webhost) Having spent the last 3 years working professionally with .net, I had a rather cynical view that webhosts just wont work with custom components, and you will have to always modify the environment to match the code - but this didnt seem to apply to Ultima Hosts! All of my code worked right out of the box, the only configuration I had to do was to point it at the right database! The only time I had needed to contact their support was due to a small DNS misconfiguration that I had done - I couldnt get one of my subdomains to work, and despite it being 3am on a Sunday morning, it was resolved within 17 mins! I was very impressed! I would, and have, put my reputation on the line by recommending them to everyone I know. Less
