It was a challenging run (especially for me coming from no altitude), but it was beautiful and well worth the pain. I would recommend it and hopefully I can go back next year to do it.
People should AVOID the Boulder Boulder, its crowds, traffic, and headache. Go to Estes Park, avoid ANY traffic, and get your breath taken away. Not by the altitude, but by the beauty. Try the 10k or higher. Next year I will do the Estes Park Marathon. *this year I did the 10k. **please remind me.
Always enjoy coming to Estes Park. When I found out about the marathon we changed or dates to run in it. The course was great and the views breath taking. I never get tired of seeing the mountains. Hope to bring more runners back with me next year.
This was one of my favorite races ever. The glory of this race is the setting. Forget the crowds, forget the PRs, forget the underpinnings of the "packaging" of less spectacular races. My husband and I ran our first 10K race at this event. It was fun, challenging and the scenery was amazing! All of the volunteers were very encouraging which made our first race a wonderful and exciting experience. We will, without a doubt, attend this event every year, and maybe try the half marathon next year. Thank you EPM Volunteers! ... More
My husband and I have run the marathon and half marathon numerous times. We love the organization and positive energy the race provides for us. The officials are wonderful, the course is challenging yet fair, and the scenery makes you realize how lucky you are to be a runner. Thanks for it all EPM Volunteers!!!
I've run the half marathon three times now and I seem to enjoy the weekend more and more each year I come back. The area is beautiful, the course is challenging, and all of the volunteers are fantastic! I would, without any hesistation, recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable weekend. Definitely check out Active At Altitude as wel... More
Having run the past two years (and intending to run many more), I think the Estes Park Marathon is a fantastic race! First and foremost, the course receives a very high scenery rating. As you wend your way around and about the town of Estes Park you see the Rocky Mountains above you from a multitude of different angles. For example, at the be... More
