Industry Leaders Offer Business and Customer Expertise to Emerging Leader in Online Reputation Management Services

Needham, Mass. - August 11, 2008 - RatePoint, a leading provider of customer feedback and online reputation management services, today announced the formation of the company's new Advisory Board which is made up of industry thought-leaders and experts, including Howard A. Schmidt, president & CEO of R & H Security Consulting LLC, former chief security officer (CSO) of Microsoft, chief information security officer (CISO) for eBay and White House cyber security advisor; Bill Kerrigan, former executive vice president at McAfee; and Bob Marshall, president and CEO of WeatherBug.

Howard A. Schmidt, President & CEO of R & H Security Consulting LLC, has had a long distinguished career in defense, law enforcement and corporate security spanning almost 40 years. He has served as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Security Strategist for online auction giant eBay.  Schmidt has served in the position of Chief Security Strategist for the US CERT Partners Program for the National Cyber Security Division, Department of Homeland Security. He was appointed by President Bush as the Vice Chair of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board and as the Special Adviser for Cyberspace Security for the White House in December 2001. Prior to the White House, Schmidt was chief security officer for Microsoft Corp., where his duties included CISO, CSO and forming and directing the Trustworthy Computing Security Strategies Group.

Bill Kerrigan was executive vice president at McAfee, where he was responsible for its $500 million global consumer business. During his time at McAfee, he grew online subscription revenue 367 percent and expanded the online subscriber base over 12 times, to more than 23 million subscribers.  Previous to his time at McAfee, Kerrigan co-founded Rebar, LLC, a $1 billion privately held operating and holding company, and parent company of Corporate Software, a global software reseller, software management and IT services provider. 

Bob Marshall co-founded AWS Convergence Technologies, owner and operator of the WeatherBug brand, in 1992 and currently serves as company president and CEO. Marshall pioneered the networking of weather sensors and cameras using the Internet and parlayed this capability into the single largest and fastest growing proprietary weather network in the world.  Prior to launching AWS, Marshall served as a program manager and lead engineer at BBN (formerly Bolt, Beranek and Newman, the company credited with starting the Internet) on a number of advanced military sensor, signal processing and networking programs.
